The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 289,260 tons of oil products from its own refineries in January-March 2013 compared to 294,120 tons in January-March 2012, SOCAR said on Tuesday.
SOCAR exported over 1.24 million tons of oil products from its own refineries in 2012 compared to about 1.45 million tons in 2011.
Petroleum products in Azerbaijan are made on the basis of two Baku refineries with total capacity of 16 million tons a year. Both refineries are part of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, which annually processes approximately seven million tons of oil from onshore and offshore fields at their own expense.
