Azerbaijan exported about 119,140 tons of petroleum coke in the first half-year, the State Statistics Committee told Trend.
In particular the committee said, most of the petroleum coke was exported to Russia comprising 96,840 tons which is worth about $7.75 million.
In January-June, Azerbaijan imported 19.3 tons of coke to the United States worth $56,300.
Oil products are produced at two Baku refineries with a total capacity of 16 million tons of oil a year. Both are part of SOCAR which annually processes approximately seven million tons of oil from onshore and offshore fields at its own expense.
