Astana will host the Innovation Decade forum on September 20, Kazakhstan’s National Agency for Technological Development said on Wednesday.

Astana will host the Innovation Decade forum on September 20, Kazakhstan's National Agency for Technological Development said on Wednesday.

"The forum is designed to summarize the main achievements in the implementation of Kazakhstan's main policy of the last 10 years, as well as to view prospects of further development," a message from the agency said.

The organizers of the forum are: the National Agency for Technological Development JSC with the support of NMH Baiterek JSC and the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev, Chairman of the Board of JSC "NMH" Baiterek "Kuandik Bishimbayev, international experts, the chairman of Kazakhstan's Machine Builders' Union Meyram Pshembaev heads of key innovative enterprises of Kazakhstan -" Almaty fan factory "," Kaynar-Bank "," Romat ", etc. have confirmed their participation at the event. Also, the event will bring together innovators, MPs of Kazakhstan and public figures.

New instruments to support innovators, the latest statistics on innovation and more will be announced at the forum.

The program of the forum includes a plenary meeting and three panel sessions.

It is planned to discuss the agency's activity of the past ten years and prospects for further development during the plenary meeting. The issues of foresight research, intellectual property, as well as creation of industrial experts' network in various technological branches of economy will be discussed at panel sessions.

In total, over 3,000 ideas and projects were viewed by the National Agency for Technological Development JSC, about 600 of which get support in the amount of over 18 billion tenge (153.33 tenge = $1).
