The diesel fuel price has dropped by 15 tetri - to 1.90 lari ($1 =1.66 lari) at SOCAR's entire 105 petrol stations in Georgia.
According to SOCAR Georgia Petroleum which is a SOCAR subsidiary, proceeding from financial and economic issues, it is difficult for the company to preserve the price at a low level. As the autumn agricultural operations begin in the country, the demand of fuel significantly increases.
Taking into account these circumstances, the company decided to reduce the diesel fuel price. This has already affected consumer activity.
After a decline in prices, more than 350,000 litres of diesel are sold every day.
SOCAR Georgia Petroleum intends maintaining this price throughout the autumn.
