Over 2 million cubic meters of oil-contaminated soil removed as part of town planning project in Baku

From February 2010 to the end of the third quarter of 2013 Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri CJSC removed 2.14 million cubic meters of oil-contaminated soil as part of the project on establishment of White city in the territory of Black City in Baku, according to the statement posted on the official website of the Company.

From February 2010 to the end of the third quarter of 2013 Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri CJSC removed 2.14 million cubic meters of oil-contaminated soil as part of the project on establishment of White city in the territory of Black City in Baku, according to the statement posted on the official website of the Company.

"During this period 56,260 cubic meters of oil sludge was removed from this territory and 282,210 cubic meters of industrial waste waters pumped out and removed," a statement said.
Architectural Baku White City project claiming to become new modern center of Baku is being implemented under the decree of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on 'Plan of complex measures on improving ecological situation in the Republic of Azerbaijan'.

Azerbaijani specialists as well as such famous companies as "Atkins", "Foster + Рartners" (UK) and "F+A Architects" (U.S.) participate in the implementation of the Baku White City project.
