The KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (KMG EP) board has elected Deputy Director General for Production Kairbek Eleusinov, member of the company's board, KMG EP said on Thursday.
It was previously reported that Deputy Director for Production and board member Bakhyt Imanbayev left his post in connection with his transfer to another job on September 28, 2013.
KMG EP is among the top three oil producers in Kazakhstan.
The production volume of the company including shares in JV Kazgermunai LLP, CCEL (JSC Karazhanbasmunai) and PetroKazakhstan Inc in 2012 amounted to 12.2 million tons (247,000 bpd).
KMG EP's proven and probable reserves as of late 2011 amounted to 226 million tons (1.7 billion bbl). Its reserves with shares in joint ventures amounted to about 2.1 billion barrels.
