Around 15.17 billion kilowatt/hour electricity was generated in Azerbaijan in January-September 2013, which is by 1.2 per cent less than in the same period of 2012, the country's State Committee for Statistics told Trend on Friday.
According to the State Committee, some 14.02 billion kilowatt/hours of the total volume of generated electricity fell to the share of thermo power plants which is by 1.5 per cent more than in January-September 2012.
The hydro power plants of Azerbaijan generated around 1.14 billion kilowatt/hour of electricity which is by 25.4 per cent less than in the same period of 2012.
"Azerenergy" JSC is engaged in the production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan.
