In January-September, the "Azerigas" Production Association of the Azerbaijani State Oil Company (SOCAR) supplied about 2.34 billion cubic meters of gas to the country's consumers, the Production Association told Trend on Friday.
Over 1.4 billion cubic meters of the total volume of supplied gas during nine months fell to the consumers from the population group, the Production Association said.
"The remaining part of the gas was supplied by the Production Association for the needs of the country's industrial enterprises," "Azerigas" said.
As of October 2013, the number of gas subscribers in Azerbaijan amounted to 1,580,474 compared to 1,569,860 as of September 1. Some 1,561,399 of the total number of subscribers fell to population category, while 19,075 to other categories.
SOCAR includes Azneft (companies producing oil and gas on land and sea), Azerkimya (chemical industry), Azerigas (gas distribution) production associations. The State Oil Company also includes a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises, institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling activities
