SOCAR launches large charity event in Georgia

By Nana Kirtzkhalia -Trend: SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan), has started to provide free gas to buildings belonging to the religious bodies of all denominations in Georgia.
In particular, more than 200 churches, monasteries, mosques and synagogues across Georgia during a year will receive free gas. For the realisation of this charity event, SOCAR will spend more than a million lari.
Before the start of the event, Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II and the head of SOCAR Rovgan Abdullayev signed a memorandum of understanding. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia Kakha Kaladze.
Patriarch blessed the multilateral charitable activity and large scale social projects carried out by SOCAR.
