Kazakhstan to increase oil production

As of 2013, the oil production in Kazakhstan will amount to 82 million tons, Managing Director of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Malik Salimgereev said at a briefing in Astana on Dec.25.
Salimgereev said that in 2012 production of oil and gas condensate in Kazakhstan amounted to 79.2 million tons.
KazMunaiGas JSC accounted for 22.6 million tons of the oil produced in 2013, and Chinese companies - for 19.1 million tons.
Salimgereev also stressed that in 2014 Kazakhstan plans to increase oil production to 83 million tons excluding the Kashagan oil. KazMunaiGas will account for 22.6 million tons of this volume.
