The first phase of constructing a power station on wind energy regeneration will be completed in November 2014 in an area of the Petkin Turkish petrochemical complex, where SOCAR has equity participation, Petkim said today.

The technical evaluation process of the power station establishment project has already been completed. The first phase implementation is planned to be launched this year, according to the report.

The total capacity of the power station will reach 50 MW and the power of the first phase is to be 25 MW.

SOCAR Turkey Enerji A.S and SOCAR International DMCC OGG acquired a 10.32 percent stake in Petkim on March 30, 2012, increasing SOCAR's stake in the company to 61.32 percent. Some 38.68 percent is in free circulation on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.

Petkim Petrokimya Holding produces plastic packages, fabric, PVC and detergents. It is the only Turkish producer making such products, a quarter of which the company exports.
