Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Total's President Christophe de Margerie have discussed the realization of the project on the Kashagan field's development, according to a message from Kazakh president's press service.

"During the meeting, they discussed issues of current operations in Kazakhstan and its participation in the Production Sharing Agreement for the North-Caspian Project," the press service said.

Nazarbayev and de Margerie also emphasized the dynamic development of Kazakhstan's oil and gas industry, which was an outcome of attraction of investments and new technologies, according to the message.

The sides also touched upon the issue of production at the Kashagan field.

The head of Total noted that parties to the agreement will take all necessary measures to eliminate the causes of delay in production.

Kazakh president paid special attention to human capital development and implementation of various investment projects aimed at socio-economic development of the country, according to the message.
