Novorossiysk port reduces oil transshipment by over 12 percent in January

The Russian Novorossiysk International Trade Sea Port transshipped 6.35 million tons of oil in January 2014 compared to 8.25 million tons in January 2013.

The Russian Novorossiysk International Trade Sea Port transshipped 6.35 million tons of oil in January 2014 compared to 8.25 million tons in January 2013, a message posted on the post's official website said.

The port transshipped about 2.38 million tons of oil products during the reporting period compared to 2.3 million tons in January 2013.

The port transshipped totally around 10.9 million tons of various cargo in January compared to 12.42 million tons in the same period of 2013.

In 2013, the Novorossiysk port transshipped about 91.74 million tons of oil, compared to 110.83 million tons in 2012. The port transshipped 24.2 million tons of oil products in 2013 compared to 19.4 million tons in 2012.

Totally, the port transshipped about 141 million tons of various cargo in 2013, compared to about 159 million tons in 2012.

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) transports its own oil through this port.
