The United States imported 10.41 million barrels of oil from Azerbaijan in 2013, compared to 8.83 million barrels in 2012, U.S. Energy Information Administration – EIA reported.

The United States imported 10.41 million barrels of oil from Azerbaijan in 2013, compared to 8.83 million barrels in 2012, U.S. Energy Information Administration - EIA reported.

The US imported 1.04 million barrels of oil in December 2013, compared to 1.05 million barrels in December 2012.

The main export transportation route for the Azerbaijani oil is the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline which delivers oil to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.

Azeri Light crude oil is exported from the Georgian port of Supsa, where it is delivered via the Baku-Supsa.

Oil is also exported from the Georgian Black Sea port of Batumi, by rail from Baku and from the port via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
