Turkey increases gas imports in Jan-Feb.

The Turkish state pipeline company Botas imported 7.57 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources in Jan-Feb. 2014, compared to 6.89 billion cubic meters in Jan-Feb. 2013, according to Botas.

Turkey also imported gas from Azerbaijan which is supplied via the South Caucasus gas pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum).

The Turkish state pipeline company Botas imported 38.42 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources in 2013, compared to 43.09 billion cubic meters in 2012.

The company exported 134 million cubic meters of gas in Jan.-Feb. compared to 93 million cubic meters in Jan-Feb. 2013. The company exported 694 million cubic meters of gas in 2013 compared to 622 million cubic meters in 2012.

Some 8.1 billion cubic meters of gas was sold on the Turkish domestic market in Jan-Feb. 2014, compared to 7.77 billion cubic meters of gas in Jan-Feb. 2013, according to Botas. The figure was more than 37.96 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013 compared to 41.44 billion cubic meters in 2012.
