Kazakhstan has decreased oil, coal and iron ore production in January-August 2014 compared to the same period of 2013

Kazakhstan has decreased oil, coal and iron ore production in January-August 2014 compared to the same period of 2013, Kazakh Statistics Committee under National Economy Ministry reported on Sept.11.

Meanwhile natural gas and non-ferrous metals production increased in the reporting period.

Kazakhstan decreased oil including gas condensate production by 0.7 percent to 43.6 million metric tons in the first eight months of 2014. Copper ore production fell by 6.7 percent to 25.9 million metric tons, refined copper production decreased by 26.9 percent to 0.2 million metric tons.

Gasoline production rose by 15.1 percent to 2 million metric tons, gas oil (diesel fuel) production decreased by 4.9 percent to 3.3 million metric tons.

Electric power production rose by 0.7 percent to 60.9 billion kilowatt-hours in the reporting period.
In general the industrial production in Kazakhstan decreased by 0.1 percent in January-August 2014.
