SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) prepares for drilling another well in the Garadagh underground gas storage facility within the expansion of the capacity of underground gas storage facilities, SOCAR told Trend April 22.
"At present, the preparatory work is being held on the drilling site No 485," the statement said.
"At the same time, we continue drilling the well No 486," the source said. "The cementing operations have been completed. It will be put into operation in 1.5-2 months."
Over 20 new wells are planned to be drilled to increase the volumes of gas pumping and storing in the Azerbaijani underground gas storage facilities for a few years.
The capacity of SOCAR gas storage facilities exceeds 3.5 billion cubic meters.
