The daily oil production will amount to 630,000-635,000 barrels per day at the block of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea until the end of 2015, a source on the oil and gas market told Trend August 24.

According to the source, this index is averaged as a result of the production from all six platforms on the block of fields.

"Central Azeri platform shows the best productivity, which produces up to 155,000 barrels per day," the source said. "On average, the production on the block will hit 630,000-635,000 barrels per day by the end of the year. In total, some 31 million metric tons of oil are expected to be produced as of the year."

British BP and its partners produced 16 million metric tons (116 million barrels) during the first half of 2015 on Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of Azerbaijani oil and gas fields, which is the same as in the first half of 2014.

The contract for the development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli large offshore field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, with proven oil reserve of nearly 1 billion metric tons, was signed in 1994.
