The search for the three oil workers missing Dec.4 in the Caspian Sea due to a strong storm continues, said the message posted on the website of Azerbaijan Ministry of Emergency Situations.
An accident has occurred at Oil Rocks field of Azerbaijan due to the strong storm, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) said earlier.
SOCAR said that as a result of the storm, a booth on base #501 got washed out to the sea at approximately 12:30 (UTC/GMT + 4 hours), Dec.4.
That time, there were three people in the booth: Javad Khudaverdiyev, Bahman Jafarov and Rovshan Mammadov.
"Currently, despite the strong storm, a search is underway for the missing," SOCAR said. "Details of the incident are being studied by the commission sent to the platform."
