Turkish state pipeline company Botas imported 41.3 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas from different sources in 2015 compared to 39.98 bcm in 2014, said a message of Botas posted on its website Feb. 2.
Turkey imports gas from Azerbaijan via the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum).
The country has a contract for the annual purchase of 6.6 bcm of gas from the Azerbaijani offshore gas and condensate field Shah Deniz.
Around 635 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas accounted for the export operations of Botas in 2015, as compared to 644 mcm in 2014.
Botas also said that 41.06 bcm of gas was sold in Turkey's domestic market during the reporting period, compared to 40.81 bcm sold in 2014.
