Iran has held a general tender for curbing 29 million cubic meters of of associated gas flaring in 61 oil fields, said the message of Iranian Oil Ministry.
Iran's oil fields share about 30-35 percent of total produced gas in Iran.
Iran produced 178 billion cubic meters of sweet gas during last year. The figure rose by 5 percent in 10 months of the current fiscal year (started on March 20), compared to the same period last year. The sweet gas production level reached 145 bcm in 10 months.
The country's enriched gas production capacity is also about 700 million cubic meters a day, or 255 billion cubic meters a year.
