In January 2016, Azneft production association, which is the production unit of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan), extracted 535,440 tons of oil, which exceeds the planned level by 0.2 percent, Trend was told.
The production unit produced 489.5 million cubic meters of gas, which exceeds the planned figure by 3.3 percent.
"In January, 16 wells that were inactive, turned operational and that made it possible to produce additional 845 tons of oil and it exceeds the forecasted figure by nine times," Azneft representative said.
The production unit carried out 61 geological operations, which allowed producing additional 1,960 tons of oil. Additional 3,880 tons of oil was produced as a result of the technical work carried out by the unit.
In addition, the scope of drilling work has been expanded.
Some 4 wells, from which 1,340 tons of oil was produced, have been drilled and commissioned since the beginning of 2016 in accordance with the order of the production association.
