Iran extends oil export deal with Turkey

Iran extended crude oil export deal with Turkey, Mohsen Qamsari, international affairs director at the National Iranian Oil Company, told Mehr news agency May 27.

He said the volume of oil export in 2016 will be as much as it was the last year.

"Turkish company Tupras imported about 100,000 barrels per day of Iranian crude oil in 2015, but we started negotiations with Ankara to increase the oil deliveries volume in the future," he added.

Before sanctions, Turkey was importing about 185,000 barrels per day of Iranian oil.

Iran's Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh has said earlier that the country eyes to triple its oil exports to Turkey.
