Iran oil company appoints new head of IOOC

Ali Kardor, head of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), has appointed Hamid Bourd as the new head of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC).

Hamid Bourd will replace Saeed Hafezi, Mehr news agency reported.

Ali Kardor, the new head of the NIOC, has dismissed and appointed several key managers at Iran’s oil company.

The Iranian Offshore Oil Company reportedly is Iran’s largest oil company operating in the Persian Gulf.

In a monthly report published on July 12, OPEC announced that Iran’s crude oil production reached 3.644 million barrels per day in June, about 77,800 barrels per day more than in May.
