Energy industry needs transformational new roadmap, Amin Nasser, CEO of Saudi Arabian national petroleum and natural gas company Aramco said, according to Aramco’s Twitter page.
He made the remarks during the 23rd World Energy Congress which kicked off in Turkey’s Istanbul city Oct.9.
“Role of oil and gas in the global energy mix will remain significant for decades to come,” added Nasser.
He said that Saudi Aramco will invest more than $300 billion on oil and gas projects in the next decade to avoid shortfall in supply growth.
The 23rd World Energy Congress will last till Oct.13.
