Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR transferred 1.025 billion manats (1.5986 AZN/USD on Oct. 12) to the state budget in January-September 2016, as compared to 1.14 billion manats in the same period of 2015, SOCAR said in a message Oct. 12.
In total, SOCAR transferred 1.48 billion manats to the state budget in 2015 versus 1.86 billion manats in 2014.
According to the message, SOCAR transferred 107.16 million manats to the Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund in January-September 2016, as compared to 104.22 million manats in the same period of 2015.
SOCAR transferred 139.29 million manats to the State Social Protection Fund in 2015 versus 141.24 million manats in 2014.
SOCAR is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan and includes such production associations as Azneft (enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerkimya (chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributor of gas), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies and the facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
