The price of OPEC basket of fourteen crudes stood at $44.34 a barrel on Nov.21, compared with $42.33 on Nov.18, according to the cartel’s website.

The new OPEC Reference Basket of Crudes (ORB) is made up of the following: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Rabi Light (Gabon), Minas (Indonesia), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).

International Brent crude oil futures rose as high as $49.63 a barrel on Nov.22, up 1.5 percent from the last settlement and the highest since Oct. 31, before dipping back to $49.22 per barrel at 07:35 GMT, still up 32 cents, or 0.65 percent.

US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were up 35 cents, or 0.73 percent, at $48.59 a barrel.
