Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar refinery ups diesel fuel output

Pavlodar petrochemical plant, one of the three biggest refineries in Kazakhstan, increased diesel fuel production in 2016, the plant said Jan. 16.

Diesel fuel production at the refinery hit 1.52 million tons in January-December 2016 compared to 1.46 million tons in the same period of 2015.

Meanwhile gasoline production decreased from 1.25 million tons in 2015 to 1.22 million tons in 2016. The share of high-octane gasoline in total gasoline production reached 84.4 percent in 2016, i.e. 1.03 million tons.
Fuel oil output stood at 560,100 tons, petroleum coke output was 224,200 tons and output of petroleum bitumen was 202,200 tons in 2016.

The refinery processed 4.59 million tons of oil in 2016. The targeted processing level was surpassed by 1.7 percent.

In Jan. 1-Jan. 15, 2017 Pavlodar petrochemical plant processed 219,635 tons of oil. Since the beginning of 2017, diesel fuel output has been 75,120 tons, gasoline production – 66,643 tons, fuel oil – 36,488 tons, liquefied gas – 14,282 tons, petroleum coke – 9,491 tons.

Besides Pavlodar refinery there are two more huge refineries in Kazakhstan operating in Shymkent and Atyrau.
