Kazakhstan’s oil production decreased by 1.8 percent in January-December 2016 compared to the same period of 2015, the Kazakh Statistics Committee said.

During the period, oil and gas condensate production hit 78.04 million tons (65.58 tons of oil and 12.46 tons of gas condensate).

Oil production decreased by 1.4 percent and gas condensate production fell by 3.6 percent in the period.
Gas production increased by 2.4 percent– to 46.59 billion cubic meters in January-December 2016.
Associated gas production amounted to 24.94 billion cubic meters, which is 5 percent more than in the same period of 2015.

Meanwhile in December 2016 oil and gas condensate production hit 7.23 million tons compared to 6.98 million tons in December 2015. Gas production in December 2016 increased to 4.54 billion cubic meters compared to 4.12 billion cubic meters in December 2015.

Kazakhstan’s oil and condensate output totaled 79.46 million tons in 2015, which is 1.7 percent less than in 2014. Gas production increased by 5.2 percent – to 45.713 billion cubic meters in the country in 2015.
