Over 69 million barrels of oil were exported from Azerbaijan’s Sangachal oil terminal during the first quarter of 2017 compared to about 75 million barrels of oil exported in January - March 2016, the BP report on its activity in Azerbaijan for January - March 2017 said May 10.
The total volume of the exported oil included over 60.5 million barrels of oil exported through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, over 7.5 million barrels through the Western Route Export Pipeline (WREP), and more than 1.1 million barrels of condensate via a separate export line, according to the report.
At present, the total capacity of the terminal’s technical processing systems makes up 1.2 million barrels of oil per day, and for the gas from the Shah Deniz field - 29.5 million cubic meters per day (together with associated gas from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli oil and gas fields, the total gas processing capacity at the terminal is 49.3 million cubic meters per day).
On average, 26.5 million cubic meters of Shah Deniz gas was exported from the Sangachal terminal daily during the first quarter of 2017, the report said.
