The remaining recoverable oil reserves at the Gunashli offshore oil field of Azerbaijan total 60 million tons, Azneft Production Union of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR said in a message.
A report containing the relevant data was made public at a meeting in Azneft’s Oil and Gas Production Department “28 May”, which was attended by Azneft Head Dashgin Iskenderov and Head of Neftgaztikinti Trust Mirkazim Abbasov.
During the meeting, Iskenderov said that the Oil and Gas Production Department “28 May” is one of the most productive divisions of Azneft, and a big process of modernization of the existing infrastructure, improvement of the systems for gathering and transporting hydrocarbons has been conducted in recent years in the fields accountable to the Department.
Meanwhile, at the meeting, it was decided to take additional measures to achieve the growth of gas production until 2020.
Over the past five months, 33 wells developed by the Department have been overhauled and returned to operation, according to the message.
Construction and installation work continues at 16 facilities and the overhaul of two platforms at the Gunashli field will be completed soon, says the message.
