Malaysia’s Petronas invested about $10 billion in Turkmenistan and intends to further support the development of the country’s oil and gas sector, Roseli bin Abdul, ambassador of Malaysia in Turkmenistan, said in a letter on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Malaysian government highly appreciates that Petronas Carigali Turkmenistan was the first foreign company to get the opportunity to participate in development of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector, the diplomat said.
He added that Malaysia seeks to develop economic ties with Turkmenistan.
