In January-May 2017, 3.66 billion manats were invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector, as compared to 3.68 billion manats in the same period of 2016 (a 0.4 percent decrease), the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said in a report.
The total volume of investments in Azerbaijan’s industry sector amounted to 4 billion manats in January-May 2017, which is 6 percent less than in January-May 2016.
According to the report, 3.64 billion manats out of the volume were invested in Azerbaijan’s extractive industry in January-May 2017, which is 10.8 percent less than in the same period of 2016.
Investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat amounted to 131.2 million manats in January-May 2017, 90.4 percent more than in the same period of 2016.
