Azerbaijan’s SOCAR-AQS LLC has started drilling of a new well at the Gunashli field in the Caspian Sea, the company told Trend July 11.
“The well #323 will be drilled from the offshore platform #7 at the Gunashli field,” the company said. “The well’s projected depth is 2,770 meters.”
Azneft Production Union placed the order for drilling.
SOCAR-AQS was established in 2007 by SOCAR and Absheron Drilling as a joint venture, rendering integrated services for drilling and well servicing.
Currently, the company is conducting drilling operations at the Gunashli, Western Absheron, Umid and Bulla Deniz fields.
