SOCAR gas stations’ turnover in Romania down by 7%

The turnover of the gasoline fuelling stations’ network operating under the SOCAR brand in Romania amounted to 572 million lei (about 127 million euros) in 2016, that is seven percent less than in 2015, the Romanian media reported, Aug. 17.

The operator of the network of 38 fuelling stations in Romania is SOCAR Petroleum SA (a subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR).

Reportedly, the company’s profit in 2016 doubled as compared to 2015 and amounted to four million lei (nearly 900,000 euros).

The company has a staff of about 450 people. Currently, SOCAR fuelling stations operate in 18 regions of Romania.

SOCAR is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan. Company owns gasoline fuelling stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.
