SOCAR sends big cargo of Azeri Light to Poland

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR delivered a big cargo of Azeri Light oil to the Polish company PKN Orlen for its processing at a petrochemical plant in the city of Plock, a source in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas market told Trend Sept. 8.
“PKN Orlen received 100,000 tons of Azeri Light for processing it at the Petrochemia Plock refinery. The cargo was shipped from Ceyhan,” the source said, adding that the oil was delivered in late August.
PKN Orlen is a major Polish oil refiner and petrol retailer. The company is a significant European publicly traded firm with major operations in Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany and the Baltic states.
In January-August 2017, more than 17.24 million tons of oil was sent from the Turkish port of Ceyhan to the world markets, as compared to 20.1 million tons in the same period of 2016.
