Azerbaijan delivers aviation fuel to Ukraine

Azerbaijan supplied two batches of aviation oil with a total volume of 3,300 tons, produced by the country, to Ukraine.

Azerbaijan supplied two batches of domestically produced aviation fuel with a total volume of 3,300 tons, to Ukraine, a source in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas market told Trend Sept. 25.

According to the source, the supply was carried out by Alliance Energo Trade and Element Naphtha trading companies.

“Alliance Energo Trade delivered 1,000 tons of Azerbaijan’s aviation fuel, while Element Naphtha delivered 2,300 tons,” said the source adding that Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, for its part, delivered 1,100 tons of aviation fuel from Lithuania to Ukraine.

SOCAR is represented by its subsidiary – SOCAR Energy Ukraine – in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the company has a network of 61 filling stations.

In 2016, SOCAR supplied 21,600 tons of aviation fuel to Ukraine. The company increased its own deliveries of fuel to Ukraine by seven percent in 2016 as compared to 2015. Structures of the Azerbaijani company delivered 136,000 tons of aviation fuel.

SOCAR is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan on the basis of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, where the modernization work is underway.
