Turkmenistan’s Turkmengeology State Corporation received an industrial inflow of natural gas with a daily production rate of one million cubic meters at a depth of 4,548-4,556 meters at the first well of Chelekbay site, said Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas Complex in a message.
The Chelekbay site is located near the country’s biggest Galkynysh field (east Turkmenistan).
Meanwhile, test work was carried out at a depth of 4,511-4,503 meters, as a result of which an inflow of natural gas with a daily production rate of 1,027,000 cubic meters was received.
Active drilling operations are also carried out at the giant Galkynysh field. Particularly, drilling operations at production well #309 successfully continue. To date, the well has been drilled to a depth of 3,523 meters.
It is planned to start drilling operations at the first well of South Jurji site of the Galkynysh field in the near future.
