SOCAR to sell Russian LPG at UEEX

SOCAR LPG, one of subsidiaries of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR in Ukraine, will hold trades of Belarusian and Russian liquefied natural gas (LPG) at the Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEEX) on Oct. 6.

SOCAR LPG, one of subsidiaries of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR in Ukraine, will hold trades of Belarusian and Russian liquefied natural gas (LPG) at the Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEEX) on Oct. 6, enkorr.com.ua reported.

The company will offer 60 tons of propane-butane mixture produced by Belarus and 60 tons of LPG produced by Russia’s NNK JSC.

In total, SOCAR will trade 180 tons of the resource. The starting price is 20,800 Ukrainian hryvnia per ton (about $776.3 per ton). Thus, SOCAR will be able to raise about $140,000 for the entire volume. The shipping will be carried out from Oct. 9 to Oct. 13.

SOCAR LPG was registered in July 2016 in Ukraine’s Cherkasy city.

SOCAR is represented in Ukraine by its subsidiary, SOCAR Energy Ukraine, and the company also has a network of 61 filling stations in the country.
