Kazakhstan’s ministries of energy and economy have developed a plan to step up imports of oil products, the Energy Ministry’s press service said in a message Oct. 6.

An agreement on this was concluded at a meeting between Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev and Minister of Economy Timur Suleimenov.

The plan is expected to allow the market participants to step up work on fuel and lubricant imports.

Plans on importing 120,000-150,000 tons of AI-92 gasoline in October were announced during a meeting between energy minister, representatives of KazMunaiGas and big filling station networks of Kazakhstan.

The filling station networks will receive 100,000 tons from the whole imported fuel, according to the Energy Ministry.
