Kazakhstan stabilizing situation in fuel market

Kazakhstan increased the production of AI-92 gasoline in Shymkent and Atyrau plants from 130,000 to 165,000 tons in order to resolve the fuel shortage in the internal market, the Ministry of Energy said in a message Oct. 20.

In order to further increase the of AI-92 gasoline production, Kazakh government decided to temporarily reduce the production of Al-95 gasoline in Shymkent and Atyrau.

Furthermore, negotiations with the Ministry of Energy of Russia as well as with the managers of RosNeft, GazPromNeft and RusNeft resulted in the shipment of more than 100,000 tons of AI-92 from Russian refineries.

Since Oct. 1, 34,600 tons of AI-92 gasoline was imported to Kazakhstan.

To date, there are no Kazakh regions facing a shortage of AI-92, according to the Energy Ministry.
