In January-October 2017, 7.095 billion manats was invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector, as compared to 7.19 billion manats in the same period of 2016 (a decrease of 1.3 percent), the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said in a report.
In January-October 2017, the total volume of investments in Azerbaijani industrial sector amounted to over 8.1 billion manats, which is by 6.7 percent less than in January-October 2016.
Meanwhile, 7.05 billion manats out of that volume was invested in Azerbaijan’s extractive industry in January-October 2017, which is by 9.8 percent less than in the same period of 2016, the report said.
Investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat amounted to 386.8 million manats in January-October 2017 that is by 60.8 percent more than in the same period of 2016.
