Capacity of power plant for Azerbaijani chemical enterprises to be doubled

It is planned to double the capacity of the power plant operating on the territory of the Azerikimya production association in 2018, said Fazail Yusifov, deputy director of the Modernization Department, at the fourth international conference “Oil refining and petrochemistry of the Caspian Sea and Central Asia” in Baku.
Yusifov noted that currently, the capacity of the plant, which provides enterprises of Azerikimya with electricity, is 32 megawatts.
The power plant’s capacity will be brought up to 64 megawatts thanks to internal reserves, Yusifov added.
He noted that the relevant agreement has already been signed with the German company.
Currently, Azerikimya production association is modernizing and reconstructing enterprises.
As part of the reconstruction of the Ethylene-Polyethylene plant, which is being implemented by Technip Italy and will be completed by 2019, the existing technological installations will be modernized, and new facilities will be built.
