Despite a 50-percent-increase in gasoline price since February 1, 2018, gasoline price in Turkmenistan remains one of the lowest in the world, Nebit-Gaz, online newspaper of the country’s Oil and Gas Complex, reported Feb. 3.
A liter of A-95 gasoline for the population cost 1.5 manats in Turkmenistan since February 1, which is $0.43 at the Central Bank’s rate.
Earlier, a liter of A-95 gasoline was sold at a price of one manats (28 cents).
A-92 gasoline and diesel fuel increased in price from 0.94 manats to 1.35 manats (38 cents) per one liter. A-80 gasoline costs 1.15 manats (33 cents). Earlier, it was sold at a price of 0.87 manats (25 cents).
For the last time the gasoline price increased in Turkmenistan on January 1, 2015. Then A-95 gasoline price increased from 0.62 manats to one manats and was kept at this level until 2018.
