Russia reveals oil export volume to Uzbekistan in 2018

Russian oil export to Uzbekistan amounted to 36,000 tons in the first three months of 2018, say the reports of the Russian Central Dispatch Office of the Fuel and Energy Complex.

Previously, Russia had stopped supplying oil to Uzbekistan, exporting 24,900 tons in January 2018.

The export of Russian oil to Uzbekistan amounted to 68,200 tons in 2017. In November 2017, 30,000 tons of oil was delivered to Uzbekistan, in December – 38,200 tons.

Official representative of Transneft Igor Demin explained the situation, saying that only test supplies were being carried out.

On February 26, 2018, Transneft Vice President Sergey Andronov said that active negotiations were under way between Kazakhstani partners and Uzbekistan to determine the volumes of oil transportation.

In April 2017, during the visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyev to Moscow, a bilateral memorandum on the delivery of 500,000 tons of Russian oil to Uzbekistan was signed.

Sergei Andronov also said that Rosneft, Gazprom Neft, Lukoil and Russneft could take part in the delivery of 500,000 tons of Russian oil to Uzbekistan.

On November 20, 2017, the Kazakh company Kaztransoil began transportation of Russian oil to Uzbekistan. Oil is pumped through the pipeline to the oil loading ramp of Shagyr, where it is poured into railway tanks and then transported by rail to Uzbekistan.
