Turkey eyes to increase trade turnover

Until 2023, Turkey intends to increase the trade turnover up to $500 billion, a source in the Turkish government told Trend May 4.

According to the source, an increase in trade turnover is one of the priorities for the Turkish government.

"Turkey's trade turnover reached $390.7 billion at the end of 2017,” the source said. “Turkey's economy is developing rapidly, which contributes to the growth of trade turnover up to $500 billion over the next five years."

According to the source, Turkey intends to actively use all the sea ports in the country to increase trade turnover.

"Turkey also intends to increase the number of trade delegations in different countries," the source said. “Turkey's trade turnover amounted to $37 billion in March 2018.”
