Kazakhstan can transport coal through Georgian ports

Kazakhstan can launch transporting coal through Georgian ports, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Railways Kanat Alpysbaev said at the general meeting of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor (TITR) International Association, an association of legal entities, in Baku on May 8.

"Tariff for transportation and transshipment of Kazakh coal to the Georgian ports was reviewed and approved by all members of the TITR International Association," he said.

Tariff for the coal transportation from Kazakhstan via the TITR amounted to $60.88 per ton, in case the cargo volume is at least 400,000 tons in 2018.

He further noted that the Association is working to improve the competitiveness of the China-Turkey / Southern Europe route and vice versa, to further expand the volume of cargo transportation in this direction.
