Turkmenistan, Slovakia stand for partnership in agriculture, trade, economy

Turkmen officials and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Turkmenistan Jan Bory discussed the prospects of partnership in Ashgabat’s headquarters of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs said in a message.

Chairperson of the Turkmen parliament Gulshat Mamedova has recently received ambassador Bory’s credentials.

According to the message, the sides discussed the prospects of partnership in trade, economy, agriculture and food industry.

During the conversation, the diplomat was updated about promising investment projects which are being developed.

Stressing the most favourable conditions for the intensification of bilateral relations at the level of business structures in Turkmenistan, the ambassador said that he intends to fully promote the expansion of contacts between the entrepreneurs of the two countries.

The measures are being taken in Turkmenistan to stimulate small and medium-sized businesses, which contribute to the development of the export potential of Turkmen entrepreneurs.

During the meeting, the issue of the recent commissioning of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport was discussed. In this regard, the prospect of the expansion of partnership in transport, energy and tourism sectors was also stressed.
