US reveals volume of petroleum import from OPEC

The volume of petroleum import of the US from OPEC countries averaged 2.881 million barrels per day (mb/d) in the first two months of 2018, according to the Monthly Energy Review of the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

The US imported 3.009 million barrels of oil per day from OPEC countries in January and 2.740 mb/d in February, according to the EIA.

The US imported 3.628 mb/d of oil from OPEC countries in the first two months of 2017, as compared to 3.139 mb/d in the same period in 2016.

This is while the volume of petroleum import from non-OPEC countries stood at 7.063 million barrels per day in January-February 2018.

The country imported 6.751 mb/d of oil from non-OPEC in 2017, as compared to 6.742 mb/d in the same period in 2016.

The volume of petroleum import of the US from OPEC countries averaged 3.360 million barrels per day (mb/d) as of 2017, compared to averagely 3.446 mb/d in 2016.
