The Russian company INTES is ready to assist in automation of the well management system at Azerbaijani oil fields, General Director of the company Yury Bogachuk told Trend on the sidelines of the 25th Anniversary Caspian International Oil & Gas Conference in Baku May 30.

Bogachuk noted that the company's representatives plan to hold a number of meetings in Azerbaijan, including with the state oil company SOCAR.

INTES can not only supply its products to Azerbaijan, but also provide services for setting up equipment and control work, he noted.

INTES manufactures intelligent oil production management systems that can make independent decisions without human intervention. Presently, there are no analogues of this technology in the world, he said.

"The system optimizes the well performance in such a way that any low-yield well turns into effective one. For example, if production at the well [for a certain period of time] is three tons and it is very costly, our control system will firstly help increase production to eight tons and secondly, to cut production costs," Bogachuk said.

At the same time, according to Bogachuk, the system has the remote monitoring application that allows to control the well through a smartphone, and from any distance.

"This significantly increases the efficiency of production and reduces costs. Meanwhile, the system has a high degree of security - access is provided only hand-picked people. Since 2000, our system has never been hacked," added Bogachuk.
